老版要比新版多更多的出诊情节吧，新版更侧重于描写人与人之间的情感交流，老版就是乡村兽医的日常了吧，不是在出诊就是在出诊的路上。 剧情方面不相伯仲，但新版加深了对管家Mrs.H的刻画，让这一家生活更加丰富，还由于年代问题，新版对乡村景色的展现更美，略胜一筹。
老版是个喜剧~好看哎，置景上更符合当时战前，比较破落和阴冷，人物更粗粝和有趣，siegfried生气简直是一绝，爆发力堪比那个元首的段子，james和tristan一样淘气，那只哈巴狗的剧情太好笑了
